Who speaks more of a company’s brand if no other than the employees who choose to work for that company and represent its brand? Who knows a company’s brand more than its employees? How then can employees become the mouthpiece of their company’s brand? How can employees do so by separating their personal life from their professional life while ensuring they don’t bridge the company’s social media policy?

  1. Understand your company’s brand and experience it to tell a story of how it impacted your life.
  2. Request or order some of the company’s gears that identifies you to the brand.
  3. If your company has a social media team, learn more about the company’s social media policies and procedure and your expectation of the Do’s and Don’t.
  4. Share any social media questions or ideas you have with your company’s social media team.
  5. Join the movement by following your company’s social media accounts. Choose a specific time in the day which could be during non office hours or lunch times to follow any updates and share within your social network connections.
  6. When your company’s launches a campaign at work or on social media for employees, feel free to participate in the campaign to represent the brand.
  7. When the company post any social media campaign in the form of text, photos or videos, feel free to like and share in your personal social media accounts when you’re not working or during lunch time.
  8. When you read a social media post from your company’s social media accounts and notice comments from its customers, it’s recommended not to respond to these comments cause there’s a designated team monitoring and responding to these comments. You could react to the comment or answer a general question from a customer but seize from being too opinionated, which might likely result into an argument between you and the customer or user.
  9. When you indicate the company you work for in your social media profile, you officially declare that you’re that company’s brand ambassador.
